History
Contech Instrumentation was founded in 1993 by Sam Simione to represent leading manufacturers of High-Tech Test & Measurement companies to serve the High-Technology industries in the Metro-New York and New Jersey territory. Contech still represents its founding principles to this day.
In 1995 Contech absorbed the operations of RTI, a well-known and accomplished Representative firm that had been in existence for over 15 years. By 1996 Contech had grown to become one of the leading Test & Measurement Representatives in its territory.
In January 2000, Contech reached another milestone and extended operations in to the Greater Philadelphia Area. Contech had been requested by several of its principles to provide the same level of sales services in this new territory.
Contech’s strengths are its sales personnel, all of which are degreed engineers with considerable experience in the marketing and sales of High-Tech products and systems.
Product Lines
Contech aims to keep its product lines synergistic and complementary. Contech’s focus is in the following product groups:
- Test, Measurement & Development: Including RF & Microwave, Optical, Datacom, General Purpose Test Instruments & Data Acquisition.
- Power Products: Modular and Programmable DC Power Supplies, AC Sources, Inverters, UPS and Dynamic Loads and Rack Mount Enclosure Systems.
- Embedded System Products: Including Ruggedized Routers, Switches, Computers, Printers and Displays. Cots and Rugged Card Chassis, ATR’s. A/D Converters, FPGA & DSP Cards, Transceivers for Software Radio.

Administrative Team
Tricia Solomon
Tricia is our office manager and is responsible for customer service, quotation preparation, lead processing, order entry and general sales support for Contech sales engineers, customers and Principals. Tricia supervises other office staff members. Tricia has been with Contech since 1996 and is a valuable asset to our company.
Faye San Agustin
Faye is an administrative assistant and assists Tricia with office tasks such as database management, bookkeeping, mailers, demo & literature management and quotations.
Facilities
Contech maintains its office in Woodbridge, NJ, New Jersey, in the heart of the R&D and Industrial region of North-Central New Jersey. It is easily accessible from the New Jersey Turnpike, Garden State Parkway & I-287 and Amtrak. We are 30 minutes traveling time form Newark Airport and 40 minutes to NYC. Our office features all essential business equipment, demo equipment & literature storage, shipping/receiving and conference rooms.
